Amber Young, MS, RD, LDN

Amber graduated with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a Master’s in Nutrition from Meredith College where she also completed her dietetic internship. As a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN), Amber’s specialties include eating disorder recovery, intuitive eating, and management of health conditions through gentle nutrition. She has eating disorder treatment experience in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. She values continuing education and frequently pursues opportunities for advanced training in disordered eating and evidenced-based counseling techniques such as ACT, DBT, and CBT. Amber practices a client-centered, non-diet approach through a weight-inclusive lens. Her goal is to provide a judgment-free collaborative space for individuals as they recover from disordered eating, cultivate a peaceful relationship with food, and tune into their inner intuitive eater. Outside of the office, Amber loves trying out new recipes, adding to her houseplant collection, and being outdoors with her husband and pup, Clementine!
